Hi Friend!
I’m glad you’re here. So, you want to know how messenger marketing can help you crush your business goals? You’ve come to the right place! Let’s start at the beginning…
What is a bot?
In the simplest terms, a bot is software that automates a task. Chat bots, like ManyChat, are bots that integrate with Facebook messenger to automate a conversation.
ManyChat is my preferred software and the one I recommend to my clients. There is a free version that works well for those just starting out, and you can sign up here.
Messenger marketing works similar to a CRM like Mailchimp to grow your subscriber list, but unlike email marketing which has been on the decline, chat bots currently have an open rate of approximately 80-90%!
An automated system that reaches almost ALL of your dream clients! “Tell me more”, you say? Read on!
What is the Keyword Growth Tool and how do I use it?
The Keyword Growth Tool in ManyChat encourages your leads to leave a one word response on a post in order to trigger an automatic messaging sequence.
In the example below, I showcased one of our beach totes in a fun video, combined with the offer of a discount code. This post asked viewers to submit a one word comment if they wanted to receive the code. Their comment automatically triggered ManyChat to send a starter message to their Facebook messenger.
According to Facebook’s requirements, someone has to respond to you via messenger within 24 hours in order to see your messages. This is why the first message prompts for a second word, via a button for a higher click rate, to trigger the remainder of the sequence.
You can test the sequence here.
TIP: Keeping communication inside the Facebook platform is Facebook’s preference, so you want to keep your interactions within messenger.
Bottom Line: Incorporating chat bots into your Facebook advertising and page posts adds another layer to your marketing, encouraging engagement and boosting your organic reach.
Questions to Ask Yourself
When you start setting up your sequence you want to ask yourself two main questions:
- How am I adding value
- How can I deliver the information to be easy to access
